Dizziness

Sullivan Chiropractic Health Center                          Site Index

Many people suffer from occasional bouts of dizziness which are usually mild. Some, however, are more dramatically affected by symptoms such as loss of balance and vertigo (a sense that the room is spinning).

Studies have associated dizziness with injuries to the spine and inner ear from auto accidents or other such events. People with these problems often lose control of balance or suffer from vertigo. Injury to the joints and muscles of the neck, as well as, problems with the inner ear have been linked to these symptoms in certain groups of people.

Chiropractic care along with exercises to help restore the coordination between the eye, ear and neck movements have reduced the symptoms of chronic neck pain in one study. Check with your chiropractor for more information about dizziness and vertigo.
