Golf
Fitness
Its springtime, the weathers nice and youre ready to
dust off your clubs and go play. Although not as active as some
sports, golf is still an activity that requires fitness and flexibility.
Fitness and flexibility are as important to a successful golf swing
as proper mechanics. The great news is that there are many easy
ways to begin your fitness training for golf. Flexibility helps
prevent injuries, increases range of motion, and enhances our ability
to produce the muscular efficiency of the golf swing motion. Areas
to focus on with flexibility or stretching program are your neck,
chest and shoulders, trunk rotation, hips, low back and legs. Feel
free to stop by and Ill review these stretches with you. Each
stretch should be held for 20-30 seconds and should be done daily.
During your round, continue stretching any tight areas, and make
sure to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water, (not beer as
some of you do).
Subluxations
(spinal misalignments) also cause limits in your range of motion,
so by making chiropractic care a part of your health and fitness
routine, youll gain an edge on your friends.
Yours
in health,
Lynne
